It’s Friday, and like almost every Friday from Easter to October, we don’t get any sleep. Every three days we get a party of English, Irish or Germans tourists in our courtyard. Their noisy and drunk talking is an acoustic blast in the court wing. They are coming to have fun. They already spread out in the courtyard and go from door to door with their suitcases on wheels looking for their accommodation. They light up cigarettes, often peeing behind the trash cans as they wait for the key man. They settle in, open the windows and smoke out of the windows as loud music plays outside. A few go to the supermarket for groceries and come back with a few packs of beer. As the hours pass, the noise escalates.

And then comes the highlight of the evening: the costumes. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, thongs and latex, dragon and knights, etc. This is how the dressed-up go out on the move, they trickle in one by one. Doors slamming, people shouting at each other with their booming voices. It’s long past 10 pm. At this point, it’s a foregone conclusion that we’re not going to get any sleep tonight, and not just us, but also our children who have to get up early in the morning as well…

And this is how the whole night goes. We have a capacity of 80 beds in the yard, so lots of parties can come here at the same time. They come back to the apartments in the morning, sometimes they bring some ‚girls‘ with them. And we are at it again…
